ISA announces judging panel for 2009 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship

25 February 2009, La Jolla, CA - The ISA is honored to announce the selection of the Judging Panel for the 2009 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship. Please contact the ISA Headquarters if you have any questions regarding the following selection.
The ISA Judges are nominated by each National Governing Body and selected by the ISA Technical Committee formed by Alan Atkins of Australia, Marcos Bukão of Brazil and Robin de Kock of South Africa.
Meet the panel of judges for the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2009 to be held in Salinas, Ecuador from March 28 until April 5.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karin Sierralta (Peru).

Sobre la International Surfing Association (ISA)
La ISA es reconocida por el Comité Olímpico Internacional –IOC, siglas en inglés- como la Autoridad Gobernante del Mundo en surfing, bodyboard Originalmente fue fundada como la Federación Internacional de Surf en 1964 y ha realizado los Campeonatos Mundiales desde ese entonces y los Mundiales Junior desde 1980.
Los miembros de la ISA son más de 50 federaciones nacionales de seis continentes. Su base está en San Diego, California. Su Presidente es Fernando Aguerre, elegido por primera vez en 1994 en Río de Janeiro, y reelecto cinco veces desde entonces. Los cuatro vicepresidentes de la ISA son Robin de Kock de Sudáfrica, Alan Atkins de Australia, Mike Gerard de Estados Unidos y Karin Sierralta de Perú.
